Why try Reiki?

We all know that our journey in life isn’t free from hardships, stress, sickness, unexpected twists and turns and the like. Sometimes these things aren’t so bad and we can bounce back ok and be better for it. Then there are times when these things can really get us down and bouncing back seems a more arduous task. Severe stress can have an effect on our physical body, making us more susceptible to illness. Emotionally and mentally we get drained from stress that weighs upon us like a huge rock. We get thrown off balance on so many levels that regaining our sense of balance, fluidity, sanity, normalcy can feel almost impossible. The scary thing is that we end up feeling this way multiple times throughout our journey in life. You would think it would make it easier as time goes on but that is not always the case. We may carry around more stress and illness then we are even aware of.

I believe that stress and our emotions directly affect our health and well-being. Negative emotions can hang around us for years affecting our health, our relationships, even from attaining bigger and better things for ourselves. Being balanced mentally and emotionally is necessary to being healthy and happy. I also know first hand that it’s easier said then done. Change happens, twists and turns in life come out of nowhere. Maintaining balance is a constant effort. Reiki helps bring our mind, body and spirit into balance. Having that balance allows our physical body to heal itself properly and completely. It helps us respond to stress, change, and twists and turns from a healthier place inside our minds and hearts. Emotional and mental pain and hurt can finally subside. Having a sense of wellness inside and outside of ourselves is what we all would like to achieve and enjoy. Our quality of life is enhanced. I believe, witnessed and experienced how Reiki aids in this healing of our whole selves. This is what I want to share with all of you!

Reiki and Inspiration

I have found that for me Reiki and Inspiration seem to go hand and hand. The funny part is that it still takes me by surprise each and every time. Whenever I get a boost of Reiki energy usually from a source other then myself (at Reiki Shares usually) I find that the creative side of my brain kicks in and boy do I have to hang on for the ride. I think I am going to need to start making sure that I have paper and a pen close by me during these times. Things come into my mind so fast and grow even faster, that its almost impossible to remember everything later on. I admit it is a fun ride though. I feel very positive and at ease, my confidence level is even a little higher. Motivation runs rampant. I do have to be careful though, it can also pull me in so many directions that if I tried to do it all I would burn out quite fast. I’m slowly learning how to channel this wonderful gift of inspiration so that it can be strategically focused so as to do more good…towards my highest good of course.

What kind of inspiration do I get? Well, its usually always Reiki related. Things like sending Reiki, how I could use Reiki to help others, ways to improve my Reiki Shares, my Reiki Practice, getting the word out about Reiki. I just want to share, share, share. Reiki for everything. I get a huge reminder why I love having Reiki in my life and it motivates even more to share it with others. I find it easier to write, when I am on my Reiki Inspiration kick. Idea’s for my jewelry making sometimes come to me on a stronger level. So many things!!

Its easy to get overwhelmed by all that comes to me during this time. In the past it has almost make me sorta shut down some. Despite the wonderful feelings that come with this Inspiration kick, it really can be too much. This is why I have found it important to take a moment and just relax in as quiet as a place as possible. Sitting with this energy while finding a way to keep the mind from going a mile a minute can be very grounding. At first I thought it might cause my little ‘kick’ to fade away too much. That is not the case though. It seemed to help me channel it better. Give it more focus. So I could use it more productively. Most importantly it kept me from getting overwhelmed and shutting down.

I love the feeling of being productive! It’s even better and more fulfilling when Reiki encompasses it.
